Recruiter4You is partnering with a well-established and growing firm in Cyprus to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their Compliance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to AML and regulatory compliance, working closely with the Compliance Manager in a professional and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the client’s Compliance and AML framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Ensure day-to-day compliance with Cyprus AML Law, EU Directives, and internal policies

• Perform KYC, CDD, and EDD checks, client onboarding, and ongoing monitoring

• Conduct transaction monitoring, reviewing client activity and identifying unusual or suspicious transactions

• Escalate high-risk or suspicious activities and support internal investigations

• Carry out risk assessments, economic profiling, and client risk classification

• Perform PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening, documenting findings

• Maintain and update client records on AML systems (e.g. WiseBOS or similar)

• Support the review and updating of AML policies and procedures

• Assist in the preparation of AML and compliance reports for management

• Participate in AML and compliance training initiatives

• Liaise with internal teams and clients to obtain compliance-related information

• Stay up to date with relevant regulatory developments and sanctions lists

• Perform any other related duties as required by management

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2–3 years’ experience in Compliance or AML

• Strong knowledge of Cyprus AML/CFT regulations, EU Directives, and sanctions regimes

• Hands-on experience with KYC/CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, and client onboarding

• Familiarity with AML/compliance systems (e.g. WiseBOS)

• Strong analytical, organisational, and risk assessment skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently

• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (additional languages are an advantage)

• IT literate, adaptable, and detail-oriented

• High integrity, discretion, and a proactive, positive attitude
