PSP Analyst
We are currently assisting a leading company in their search for a skilled PSP Analyst to join their Payments and Finance team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, data-driven, and experienced in managing payment service providers (PSPs) with a focus on reconciliation, reporting, and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
Reconciliation & Transaction Monitoring
- Perform daily reconciliations of PSP transaction data (deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks, refunds) against internal records.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of transaction flows across multiple PSPs.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, such as missing funds or duplicate transactions.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reconciliation reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for Finance and Operations teams.
- Track settlement timelines, processing fees, and net revenue received.
- Identify and escalate anomalies such as chargeback spikes, settlement delays, or suspicious activity.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a point of contact with PSPs to clarify transaction or settlement issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Support to resolve disputes and ensure smooth payment operations.
Systems & Data Oversight
- Ensure accurate configuration of MID (Merchant ID) accounts and PSP mappings within payment systems.
- Maintain and improve reconciliation tools and automation solutions (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or other tools).
Compliance & Audit Support
- Provide necessary documentation and transaction logs for internal and external audits.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting standards in payment processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in payments, fintech, or financial operations, with at least 2 years managing PSP relationships.
- Strong understanding of payment infrastructures, gateways, card networks, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiation and relationship management.
- Proficient in Excel and other analytical/reporting tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
