Tax Supervisor (Nicosia)
We are supporting our client in identifying a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join their Tax Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Manager and play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of tax services. Responsibilities
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
Assist the Tax Manager in providing advisory and consultation services to clients on direct tax matters.
Prepare and review tax memoranda for companies and individuals, as assigned by the Tax Manager/Tax Supervisor.
Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve issues and obtain required clearances (e.g., tax residency certificates, tax clearances for transactions).
Assist in the preparation and filing of personal and corporate income tax returns.
Conduct research on tax legislation to ensure compliance with current and upcoming developments in local and international tax frameworks.
Prepare and/or assist with letters, reports, and applications for advanced tax rulings or opinions for submission to clients and/or the Cyprus Tax Department.
Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking studies, and local file reports.
Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
A university degree (BSc/BA) in Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
A recognized professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA, ADIT, or another tax-related credential.
A strong academic record.
3 or more years of relevant experience in an audit firm, tax practice, or similar role.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
Knowledge of Russian or other foreign languages will be considered an advantage.
Strong IT literacy and adaptability.
High integrity, professionalism, and a positive, proactive attitude.
