Our client is a global business group with teams in London, Stockholm, Malta, and South Africa. They operate in multiple areas including Trading, Online Payments and Crypto.

The Compliance Officer plays a key role in ensuring that their organizational and business processes adhere to government regulations. Reporting to the Head of Operations based in Malta, this critical position involves monitoring and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to meet legal requirements in all jurisdictions where the business operates.

Responsibilities:

• Update group and subsidiary compliance policies to align with laws and regulations in active jurisdictions
• Review internal AML policies and conduct risk assessments
• Conduct due diligence and KYB checks for new corporate customers
• Monitor operational processes, performing ongoing due diligence checks on corporate and end customers
• Assist with inquiries from banks, partners, and regulators, and help draft agreements
• Engage with internal teams, providing training on legal changes and compliance updates
• Collaborate with the MLRO to maintain compliance standards
