Our client is a successful fintech company located in Malta which is seeking an Accountancy and Finance Operational Officer. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO, CEO, and Founders, taking charge of establishing and continuously enhancing the finance function. Your responsibilities will include implementing financial processes, coordinating ledgers, and preparing daily reports. As a member of the Finance team, you will have the chance to grow and create a top-tier experience in the gaming and payment sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Play a vital role in driving the successful growth of the business.
• Facilitate the in-sourcing of finance and accounting functions for seamless integration and greater efficiency.
• Develop and maintain strong financial controls and reporting processes.
• Prepare reports and assist with annual filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Utilize advanced business intelligence and data applications within finance to improve analytical capabilities and reporting frequency.
• Enhance the strategic influence of finance through meticulous analysis and reporting.
• Improve the commercial value of finance by examining pricing models and evaluating sensitivity for better decision-making.
• Establish VAT compliance and control measures for a streamlined process.
• Supervise the reconciliation of payment accounts to ensure accuracy and uphold financial integrity.
• Continuously refine and automate processes to support business scalability.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or an equivalent international qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years of financial experience in high-growth startups.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced, founder-led startup or scale-up environment.
• Strong background in process implementation and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional collaborative skills and the ability to cultivate relationships across various departments.
